Experience like mine. ?? I am finding it to be deeper , and much more stable than my original T2.

Just curious about your experiences. I know it's claimed no changes were made other than all metal start-up..but something is sure different with the 6.5 I have.

Elton. I have a new one, not even had it out yet cause of the heat here. I hope you are not the only one to get that great performance!! Hope to get out soon and see for myself. I have found buttons at 10" with the ol' 6.0 version in the past.....Mo

I got a T2 ver 6.5

It's my first T2 so I cannot compare but it does a great job!

Very good video. Was the Safari in all metal mode with the small jewelry because
it might have reacted better than if it was in Coin & Jewelry mode.
Just a thought.

It also took me two T2's for a good solid one with some depth. This is my first 6.5 version and it is a hot deep one right out of the box..
As far as holding on to it..LOL No promise.I get that urge to try different detectors.. and I am always looking for something that catches my eye..

Multi frequency has always been a poor performer in Air Tests... Your air test on the Minelab is actually one of the better ones I have seen and heard..
Good Job..

I should probably do one where I compare targets in the ground. But last I checked the T2 and Safari were about equal on Nickels. The Safari is considerably better on dimes and quarters and outstanding on the beach in the wet sand or in shallow salt water.

The T2 on the other hand is a joy to use. It is Sooo light, extremely conservative with batteries and fast.

The T2 is excellent in dry sand too... and yes, it is a joy to use. I prefer the T2 or SovereignGT on most any beach and in the dry sand I prefer the T2 fer the ease of use. I always wonder when I hunt a beach... "why do people tear the pulltab off the can"? "Why do so many people treat the beach like their personal landfill"? Oh well, gotta dig some of those pulltabs to get all the nickels and some of the jewelry. I was noticing last week that high nickels were within one number of low pulltabs... no jewelry though. However it was too hot to get out and detect, at least for me... plus my grand daughter was there and I preferred to take her to the pool... she is a joy!

It doesn't pass muster that they'd release a new software version that only places the detector in all metal mode on start-up....why waste the resources for such a trivial change, surely they added additional code fixes, and enhancements to justify the resources of a new software patch. It's a shame they don't offer release notes to address the differences in the software changes.

OR.............. I got a hot one. ???

I know if I had a version less then 6.5, I would be sending it in for a "check up." HH jim tn
