Who is making the XP ORX, XP or someone else?

It is a genuine XP product.

Thanks for commenting on this topic Gary and thank you for all of your wonderful videos. They really helped me a lot!

I don’t know why that rumor was spread on this forum under the ORX vs Deus topic......... Hopefully it was just a misunderstanding.

Jeff

In this article, Steve Hershbach refers to the ORX as a “refined version of the Depar DPR 600.” Not trying to derive traffic to the other site, but after reading this article, I assumed the ORX was a repackaged Depar detector.

Steve's Review of the ORX
Hi Kapok
I think Steve was trying to provide some factual information on the ORX prior to its release in that article. He actually said the ORX “appears” to be a refined version of the Depar 600 and he goes on to describe the ORX fairly accurately with the caveat that the information he was providing was subject to change. Nowhere did he claim the DPR 600 was designed, engineered or made in Africa though he did say it was made for the African market. So unless someone misread his article I don’t think it was the source for the rumors. Thanks for linking the article to this thread.

Jeff

The DPR was made by XP for the Gold market a couple of years ago.
We made it for one of our big distributors Deepar Detectors who serve the African Gold market.
The ORX is on the same lines but has more features and coin modes.
Also the DPR does not have headphone compatability.

Hi Gary,
thanks for giving a definitive answer for the original poster's questions.

I hope those that were wondering about the origins of the DPR 600 and the ORX are satisfied with Gary's input.

Perfect! Thanks again, Gary.

I believe Gary-B's word is like the proverbial "Horse's Mouth". Let's hope this error is going to fade out. Anything repeated enough is considered true it seems- no matter who says otherwise. Thanks for being here Gary!
