Who is the dealer that sells the S.E.F. coils with free shipping?

I'm gonna weigh in here with my two cents on shipping & handling and UPS. S&H has gotten to be the same as "Fees" put on other services. It is a pad to the profit margin. That is why some companies put separate charges on each item even though they may go to the same address in the same box. I just kind of look at it compared to if I would have had to pay sales tax on something. If I don't have to pay sales tax and I subtract that from S & H then it gets a lot cheaper.

A word of caution about UPS Stores. It has nothing to do with metal detectors but just shipping. Last summer I shipped a brand new rod case full of fishing rods from Canada back home to the states because I didn't want the airlines to damage them(again). Three weeks later I receive the case and it is broken but miraculously, none of the rods are broken. I call UPS and they tell me that I will have to take it up with the UPS store but they do tell me that containers are insured for up to $100. OK fine that will help. I call the UPS Store and the owner (these are franchises) says he doesn't know anything about it and he hasn't received any type of claim from UPS. This goes on for several weeks with the same story. I am also calling UPS in the mean time and discuss this with several layers of management but get this: They cannot discuss my claim with me. I explain as patiently as I can while I'm getting the proctology treatment, that I OWN the case and contents, I PAID the shipping, I AM the receiver. It doesn't matter as apparently it is something that can only be discussed with me, the shafted customer, by this idiot UPS Store owner who still claims total ignorance of any claim filed against him. Well he had the ignorant part right. I finally just gave up but then get this, I get another bill from UPS for a special International assessment from UPS for another $123 bucks. This is in addition to the $70 something bucks I originally paid to ship and receive my brand new BROKEN rod case. Final talley well north of $200 bucks and I still get no satisfaction from UPS or their franchisee.

I learned my lesson. Never Ever again will I go to a UPS Store or use UPS if I have the choice. Just beware when you are using these &*&#$^@%^(s to ship an expensive MD or anything else.

Just a note on a recent order from Kellyco..... I finally saved enough money to purchase the 6" Excelerator Coil, (It's only $99) and shipping/handling was $9.95 FINE, no problem. That is FAIR. But then I ask for the 6" coil cover...CHA CHING, another $9.95 S&H. Oh, you want a dust/rain cover...CHA CHING, another $9.95 S&H. YOU GET THE POINT. I ended up with just the coil. It is not fair that I have to pay $30 dollars to ship something that weighs 3 pounds. I think my days of ordering from Kellyco are over.

Hello,

I just wanted to see if I could clear up a few things on our shipping charges. I really hope that you weren't charged $30 for 3 small accessories! If you were, it was a mistake and please call us so that we can refund you. Here is our chart, directly from our site/policy:

http://www.kellycodetectors.com/shipping.htm

Accessories and/or books ordered without a metal detector will be billed our standard shipping costs.

Small accessories (headphones, pouches, knives, books, etc.) receive the following shipping treatment:

A lot of folks who sell consumer electronics/computer stuff on ebay use the shipping to pad the bill all the time.
I'm in the IT field, so I buy a lot of computer gear on ebay.
Probably the most egregious case of this was the time I bought qty 10 of some memory stick for a PC. The shipping was $15 or $20, which is already ridiculous, given it weighs about an ounce, but the overall price including that wasn't bad, so I bought them anyway.

Then I get the invoice. It seems they don't combine shipping fees. So they wanted to charge me $150-200 to ship a 1-pound package via USPS priority mail.

I told them there must be some mistake, they told me there was no mistake.
I told them where to stick it.

King,

It was something that UPS tacked on after the fact. I called them about it and they gave me some idiot reasoning and so, like an idiot, I paid it but I don't really remember what it was exactly for. I do remember however, the bad taste in my mouth from dealing with UPS.

Chris,
You sure they were not smoking a crack pipe. Man, that's ridiculous! Did they really think someone is that stupid and would pay those charges? Must have been someone from Nigeria. I am glad you told them to stuff it.

That's bologna! Never ceases to amaze me. I know boxes purchased at the USPS are reasonably priced

Here at Kellyco, you will receive a free coil cover with the excelerator coils and a free box also!

because of the cost to take them to the Post Office, we have no mail pick-up here at the building.

I just wanted to state that I had an issue with the shipping charges when I ordered online. Tony straightened it out. I love this 6 inch excelerator coil!!!

I ordered an SEF thru Tony and he shipped mine free of charge. Nicely done on his end. Packed nice and solid also.
Good hunting, Gary

I also ordered the SEF coil as well as a lower rod from Tony at Kellyco. He gave me a good price on the lower rod/hardware and shipped it all free of charge.
Thanks Tony, much appreciated!

You'd be amazed how much of this crap goes on in business. A lot of people are hitting the pipe apparently.
