Who paid for the trip?

Someone please tell me why and who paid for it. Why did Obamas' wife and Oprah fly over to Copenhagen to promote the Olympics in Chicago or a 727, and the next day Obama his self flies over on a big ole' 747 the next day to do the same thing. Did Mrs. Obama and Oprah fly over on a government jet at our expense? If so, talk about a waste of our money. If Oprah wants to go, let her foot her own bill, and let the Presidents wife ride on his bus like she should. Maybe Oprah preached her perverted gospel to Mrs. Obama on their way. I am telling you this President has his head stuck somewhere and he ain't getting a good view of the situation that is before us. Or maybe he sees the view and likes it. Anyway that is my political statement for the night.uke:

I agree DK....hadn't heard about this but the money BO and his own plus the others are spending could pay for a lot of insurance and Medicare Payments! But he says do as I say and not as I do! Why in Chicago? Seems like all there is are crimes of the political persuasion and etc. If I were on the Olympic Team I wouldn't want to go there, but then the world is for it's own and not we as Christians who have common sense and understand clearly the evilness that is going on with greed, selfishness and egotism! I don't know it for a fact, but I'd bet that WE paid for it! It really ticks me off! Our country in the shape it's in, and all the areas where that money could have been well spent... and they blow off to try to get the Olympics here (or in Chicago)???????? I reckon money is no object when it belongs to someone else. And for the O L I M P I C S ? ? ? ? ? ? There's nothing wrong with the Olympics, but, personally, I think they are a big and STUPID waste of time, energy, resources, and TV air time! Like I said, I guess there's nothing wrong with the Olympics, I just don't like when the whole thing is going on. Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone who enjoys it! After all, it's only MY opinion. I'm sure there are MANY who dislike the things that I happen to like - and that's perfectly OK! - I'm just voicing my opinion... or rambling... or putting my foot in my mouth...

I am glad that I am not the only one who sees the wrong in this. We footed the bill for two big fuel guzzleing jets to fly who knows how many to Denmark to try and get something here in 2016. What happened to the promise to get jobs up and going now. Saw that Rio got the bid anyway. All the people out of work, our medical situation in disarray, our soldiers dieing every day, and they decide to take a vacation to Denmark with Oprah. I like to watch the olympics, but I like to watch people go to work and eat and be healthy and come home safe from war too.

Amen DK! The politicians say do as we say and not as we do!!! Very familiar isn't it?? When it's paid by the taxpayers, they don't care and will take advantage of us in many ways and that is why taxes are so high and greed and evil are so prevalent in our nation! I am so glad Rio De Jenaro, Brazil got the Olympics for 2016, it was said that they deserved it for they had come far in their nation of doing better for themselves and if that is true....Hurray for them!!!

All of BO's cronies in Chicago, including Oprah, wanted their city to get them, but what an expensive situation that would have been and they wanted it because all of the ones running it in Chicago, including BO, would get the praises and the money made by putting it on in Chicago! This shows that BO, Michelle and Oprah don't have the silvery, slick tongues they think they do, as some people saw through their greediness and lies and gave the Olympics to Brazil! God Bless! Betty
