Who says the T2 will not find coins???

I added two more large cents today. 1816 and 1829. That makes 5 in a week along with 2 half reales and some modern silver. Pics after tomorrow.

I agree! I find all kinds of coins with my T2!! I love the machine for sure! Great finds George!! Is that a rumor about the T2 or something? Ive never heard that the T2 doesnt find coins. I believe the T2 finds coins rather deep compared to other detectors. I dug a barber dime at about a ft deep the other day. I do notice that the Id numbers arent very accurate on the deep coins but once you pop the plug they are usually pretty close. Congrats on all the cool finds!!

Who says the T2 will not find coins??? No one that has used one... One of the best coin detectors I have ever used and goes deep too..

You should post the pic's on the E-Trac forum....lol....since they are prone to think it's the only detector thats good. Just kidding....don't...it will probably upset someone:)

People who spend that much money on a E-Trac have to convince themselves every day that it's worth every penny they spent, nothing else is as deep and it's really not all that heavy. :)

The T2 SE looks like a real bargain.

well to be perfectly honest, from what i am seeing, and reading
it doesn't appear to be far from the truth! i own an f-75,and have found my share of the good stuff,
but still wish that i could own one!,because they ARE consistently findin' the silver with 'em in "trashed"
parks!..just sayin'

Jmary....and not to hijack this thread. The E-Trac is a excellent machine, especially in heavy mineralization. Like in Idaho. All the guys I hunt with use them. I owned the T2, and it is deep. Justin is correct about the ID's being jumpy on deepies. That's why I went with the Omega. That's my preference. I do better with a more stable audio/ID number and let my brain/30 yr's of experience do the tough signal discrimination. Thus my preference for the Omega. Now on the other hand, I wish I still had the T2 for prospecting, but that is rare usage in comparison to coin hunting.
The reason for the E-Trac snide is that I get tired of the arrogance displayed by Trac owners on their forum...like if its not a Trac....its a piece of ****. Funny thing, I keep up with with my Trac buddies in cool finds/silver with the Omega/T2. And they are very adept users of the Trac. But they are never arrogant about their machines. If they were, I probably wouldn't hunt with them. I have a thing about 'better than attitudes"....lol.
Woodchips weekly total is amazing........he should submit it to First Texas for publication on their website. And I am really happy Justin is kicking it with his new T2..remarkable results so far for a T2 newbie:)....by next month he will be a hardened grizzled T2 veteran:)

i hear ya terra! i meant no consternation!..i hunt with a f-75 with similar results,
however i can't help but wonder if i could do better with the 'trac!.i'll tell ya what! i ain't about to spend $1,500
or so to find out, because my 75 finds it's share,so the point is,even IF i "hypothetically" was missin' a dime,or two,
i STILL think I am ahead,as opposed to spendin' the "big" money to find out!..besides as we know by now, dave j.
and crew have a surprise for us this year! sure hope they can bring it in at a "favorable" price point!..just sayin'

I agree........takes alot of silver dimes to make up a $700.00 E-Trac price difference over an Omega with all 3 coils :) And that's if a Omega/T2/F75 doesn't get em first. The Trac is probably one of the 3 best general duty machines made...but it has flaws.....never match my Omega in heavy iron/trash (using 5" DD). And that seems to be where most of my good finds are coming from for me. Almost all the easy by themselves coins/rings has been detected over the years in my area. Not everything is 10" deep. Most good stuff today is co-located with trash in the 5-8" range...IMHO....so I will take a reasonably priced machine that excels at that. I tried my buddies Trac.....I didn't like it. Too many tone variations.....warbling drove me bonkers.....and the weight/ergonomics sucked for me. I am a small guy. My buddy is sized liked a football linebacker......so no problem for him to swing it. If someone gave me a Trac...heck yeah I would take it......for specialty detecting purposes.

geeez! the more i hear about this omega, heck, the more i would love to try one!
i will tell ya this!..if i didn't have the f-75,my first choice for a "coin sniper" WOULD
be the omega!.i believe it's the "smart" play for somebody lookin' for a "coin killer!"
the correct "processor" AND "frequency" can make a difference!..just sayin'
