I always used a 10.5 on my CZ's, but was wondering what are your experiences, performance, hipmount, depth, coil cover, etc. etc. ...........with the C$...? <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?"> <IMG SRC="/metal/html/fisher.jpg" BORDER=0 width=60 height=13 ALT="f~">

I like it fine, use it all the time, works great, just use it like regular coil, only gets more coverage, no problem with weight, PP's good, very happy with it, have chest mount to use but don't use it unless wading, great coil does everything a big coil should do, and does it well,:D <IMG SRC="/metal/html/flag.jpg" BORDER=0 width=32 height=17 ALT="usa~"> <IMG SRC="/metal/html/fisher.jpg" BORDER=0 width=60 height=13 ALT="f~"> Great detector <IMG SRC="/metal/html/fisher.jpg" BORDER=0 width=60 height=13 ALT="f~"> <IMG SRC="/metal/html/usmc.gif" BORDER=0 width=19 height=21 ALT="usmc">

chest mounted on the harness makes the rod only a joy to swing all day....no coil cover needed. The C$ is very sensitive, & lots of dirt gets in between a coil & cover. Any of it mineralized & your C$ will go nuts. I've never come close to wearing down a coil....so none of my units have covers.

I have used the 10.5 almost exclusively although in one really trashy place I used only the 8. I find that it seems to PP forward of dead center but have found the PP to be very accurate and consistent.
Bill, thanks for the note on the coil cover. Since I bought my first Fisher about 7 years ago I have been struggling with those covers. I always wondered if they were really necessary. Soon as I get home they are off. Take care.

Everyone who's used them finds after time they load up with dirt. If you use a coil cover on a beach & you get black sand inside there it will never balance again. Fisher uses a hard epoxy on the bottom of there coils. I hunt alot & scrape the ground. I've never even come close to wearing though a coil, so that's the last thing I worry about...HH, Bill
