From what I heard the Disc is not good for parks,schools or places where a lot of targets. ;ots of diggen. I have been checking them out but I think the smart will drive me crazy. I like the idea of the dual tones. The disc is for iron only from what I read.I don't know about all of the deeptech but the smart was the one I was interested in.

It would be a hoot if this was posted on the Racer forum but it might get you a pink slip!!!

I would like to point out that this shows the difference between 25khz and 14khz. That's a mighty thin ring, I would think the Racer would hit it but it's probably coming in below his disc of 22 so it wouldn't be dug anyway. I think the Racer is more for small coins on up. We're just not comparing apples to apples. That's why we have more than one machine, for different types of hunting. If he put a coin on the nail board test I see on the side of the box the tables would be turned.

I'm not bashing the Vista Gold, I had a Smart and loved it. I'm just stating some facts. To be totally honest I do have a Racer on order and if we could get a Deep Tech dealer in the US the Gold would be my next purchase.
