Why I Decided not to sell my Safari

SAGITTARIUS

New member
My love hate relationship with Minelab continues. All the tones can drive you crazy but the finds makes it worthwhile. This morning I hunted in an iron loaded park which was recently watered. The signals always seem better in moist soil. The Safari locked on a solid 38. Eight inches down I first pulled out a rusty piece of iron. I started to replace the plug but decided to rechecked the hole. Still a good signal and out pops a 1949 wheat penny. Keep that Safari

I totally agree... A couple weeks ago I found a wheatie sitting directly on top of a huge piece of rusted tin and a merc sitting right below a good sized rusted nail. Both coins were about 8-9 inches down and both the signals and tids were spot on. These two finds were with the Pro Coil. I bought a Sunray X-5 a while back, but have been way too busy lately to use it much. The jury's still out on how it matches up to the Pro Coil in regards to accurate separation.
Happy Hunting!
