Why ISN'T the Safari/Quattro good for nugget shooting?

Just wondering why with the Multi-Freq. this wouldn't be a killer nugget shooter? I never see the name mentioned in connection with nugget shooting. I know why other single freq. machines are not good, but why not these machines that cover the spectrum.

Thx.

Heard some rumours that the E-trac was performing on the goldfields in Aussie (same FBS technology), but no details at all. The Shop I bought my E-trac from said he had done some air tests and saw no reason why you couldn't use it on the goldfields.

But he also said it is no match for the dedicated Pulse Induction minelab models.

Sorry I can't remember any details, but if someone out there has a test nugget and an E-trac/Safari and could do some air tests...that would be great!!

Cheers

I dont have a nugget but I just recieved my new Safari today and ran a air test with a 1915 indian head $5.00 gold coin and the unit had no problems seeing the gold in all modes. the number the screen showed was 31

Now, if somebody would be kind enough to let me know where the headphone jack plug is located on the Safari I would greatly appreciate it greatly! You would think I would be able to see such a large jack hole.

I guess one thing to keep in mind is that most goldfields have heavy materialised soils (so I've read). I know the E-trac handles these soils, but the sensitivity does drop. So this may have a dramatic affect on depth.

Food for thought!
