I see the newest thread other than the new smf one is from almost a month ago. Hasn't anyone made any finds or discoveries since then?

It does seem very quiet across the whole board. I plan on getting busy after we receive some rain.

I just got back from a 2-week detecting trip to California. The area I hunted with one of my nephews was the Owens Valley. One thing I couldn't understand, hardly any water, and the weeds are waist to shoulder height just about everywhere we went. Unreal! My nephew did manage to dig up an 1896 V nickel. Other than that we had to spend most of our time hunting parks for clad.

North of 40, the crops are slowly being harvested so it should pick-up soon. Plus on this forum, everyone is waiting for the next Dilek notice on the new SMF detector.
