Widescan or Concentric for organized treasure hunt?

Sven

Well-known member
It's been a long time since attending a seeded club hunt. At the beach...........
Just wondering what's the better option for these type of fast paced hunts?
I have the following options:

Amigo II with 7" concentric coil
Cutlass II with 7" concentric and 8" widescan

I've done quite well on seeded hunts with either the Silver Sabre

No, I'm in Lewston and Boise is a bit far. There are several mining areas close enough to hit from here, however. I'm not as much into prospecting as coins or relics, but consider myself an "equal" opportunity hunter.

I would use the 8" widscn

two weeks away from the Texas show here ,taking the Shadow X2 with 7 inch coil and amigo II with 7 inch concentric both do very well inb seeded hunts fast recovery and great pinpointing depth has never been an issue here most silver is only 2 inches at best good luck on your hunt will post pics of my finds when i get back from it after 14th of april post some from yours would like to see how we both do LOL

Maybe I should take a handful of to the beach next time, seed a section and see which coil will work better for me. Just thought about that.

Now, have another question along the hunting lines......which coil will get less interference from other machines?

cant help you on that one but I would think the concentric but that is where the three frequency options comes in like on the Vaq and Conquistadors and some others come into the picture

Have to use what I have.........or use another machine I believe it's frequency is outside every other machine.
Did notice years ago when I had two Cibolas at a distance of 10' from each other or so, barely notice and interference.
What I did notice was about a 50% depth loss of each at that distance. Silent killer.............

I've run into a little crosstalk when using the SS
