Will a 705 gold replace my GMT

Scott in WY

New member
OK...I recently moved down from Alaska. While there I was nugget shooting with a Whites GMT.
So now I am looking for a new detector.

I do plan on getting to so areas where I would be looking for nuggets, but mostly coin hunting.

My questions are, should I use the GMT as a trade in? will the 705 Gold find the same nuggets? Should I just get the 705 and keep the GMT?

I's so confused!!!

Thanks
Scott

I have both the GMT and the 705. I use both detectors quite a bit, the 705 is a very good coin/jewelry that detector can also be used to find gold nuggets. The GMT is a dedicated gold detector and excels finding gold nuggets, I also use it to find gold chains and tiny gold objects. It doesn't have the adjustments to fit the detecting requirements in all conditions as does the 705.

Thanks Johnnymac

I found a mint 705 on a forum about an hour after I posted this.
I really didn't want to trade in the GMT, but funds are a bit tight for a new 705.

You will find that the X-Terra 705 is a nice detector, the tones will throw you off a bit like it did me, took me about 2 weeks to learn what it was telling me. The X-Terra 705 will compliment the GMT.
