Will the SEF excellerator coils work with the ID meters

I was wondering could the sef coils work with my 550 meter as I know the the excellerator double d coils won't work with the sovereign meter. And is it better than the sunray s-12?
I use the ID meter heavily.
 
Wpruden,I had an Excellerator 8 inch concentric coil on my Sovereign a few years ago and it worked fine with the meter,but didn't like the performance of the coil.I'm puzzled I don't know why it wouldn't work with all these coils.I was considering the 12.5 DD Excelllerator coil and was unaware of this coil causing the meter not to work.I would recheck this information.HH Ron
 
SEF coils aren't Excelerators, they a SEF, Symetrical Electromagnetic Field, but they still work, make sure you re-adjust your meter with a coin before starting, ive never had problems with any coil and meter as long as its for the Sovereign
