Winchester Noise Reduction Wireless Headphones :)

Dan(NM)

Well-known member
I decided to have a go at building my own wireless headphones using the speakers from my WS4 backphones and an extra pair of Winchester shooting muffs. After a hour or so of drilling and a few solder joints I have a nice set of comfortable noise reduction wireless headphones. I'm very pleased with the outcome, they sound and feel great, plus the price was nice too !!

Nice work...very ingenious! In doing this you can get the best of both worlds...the time proven WS4 backphone speaker system incorporated into the comfortable Winchester module headphones.
Good thinking!

Thanks Charles, I'm going to make another set using an electronic amplifying set of headphones with volume controls.

Great job it's nice when you can come up with an idea and make it happen

Great workmanship Dan.. I am curious though.. Are they not a little tight? I know that when i go to the rifle range, I find that the set of ear protectors are a little tight on the head. Maybe they are supposed to be that way

No, not nearly as tight as a set of $150 wireless phones that I can't wear for more than 2 hours at a time before my ears began to ache. I had to send them back to the dealer, the cups are too small and they pinched my ears. I suppose it would depend on the brand of shooting muffs you use. These are $20 bucks or so.
