Windy day here in West Michigan

Boy was it windy today. Many people are without power and a lot of trees are down.
Here is what Lake Michigan looked like today:
 
You better watch to see if a lot of sand get's washed out! :detecting:
 
I know the wind is bad but those a really good pictures.
 
Actually your pictures bring back old memories. As a small child, I lived next door to the coast guard boat house on the north side of the pier. The house isn't there anymore and the boat house may not be used anymore. There weren't any cement piers, in those days either. Large pieces of rock and cement was all that existed back then. If you wanted to fish the channel, you had to carefully tread the ricks and such. I remember waves bouncing over the light house, on the end of the pier. That was the only part of the pier that was poured cemnt back then.
 
Here you go Martin. The boathouse is still there and it's owner was going to fix it up some in the near future. The station is now a residence.
