Winter detecting today wasn't too bad.

Found out that the Ground isn't frozen and my dirt shovel can break the surface frost so went out in 20 degree weather in upper NY state.
I could,'t do park hunting in this weather but a farm field was easy enough as I could dig from standing up and Farm soil is easy to turn over.
I found A colonial Copper (probably King George 3, A belt buckle, a button and a clasp to a shoe or boot. I'm glad I went out in the cold today in the 2" of snow I recomend this type of hunting it really isn't bad as long as you dress warm.

Sounds like you did quite well! Pics??? Too cold for me now in northern NJ.....I think we just got Chicago's weather here (thanks Bryce! :crylol:)

WTG ! - Ground frozen around here (Maryland), but not too deep yet. You have inspired me to give it a try once the temps get above 32 F.

very well done my areas pretty cold if it warms a bit i mite try again but i dont realy like the cold its reading season ha ha

Nice hunting. It's cold here in NE Ohio but the thing keeping us inside is the snow. Too much on the ground. Hopefully we will get a bit of thaw to melt this white crap. HH
