Had some time on my way back from Norway to stop on my favorite place since I always have my XT 705 in the trunk. A place that have been giving me sweet finds and relaxation.
A old track run through the park.Along that track there have been some good stuff coming up.Lots of old copper/silver coins that dates way back in time.
So I would give it last chance for this year and this time with me was my beloved Canon EOS 5D mkII, have some photos taken from this session you can enjoy
Well ,it have been snowing and there is a 4 inch of snow on the ground.I choose the 15" Coiltek though it is waterproof. And also I have to be a 5-6" over the ground so my guess was that
this coil will be the best to use in this snowy condition.
It worked fine,the temperature was around 30 and could work without gloves most of the time.
After 20 minutes the first signal hit the headphones.A good TID 44 on display under a fallen tree(see images)I know the signal,so sure it was a big coin after spending many hours this year with the Terra.
Digging was easy since the snow isolate the dirt real nice.Up come a big coppercoin from 1820..It still is pure fun to find old stuff,even if its in bad shape.
But swinging the coil in the snow was not an easy match.Snow sticked on the coil so it felt like dubbel the weight.Maybe some oil on coil will do the trick.
Had some bottlecaps and a brace and the last dig was a Norwegian 20 crowns. Great, for that I can by a bottle of Porter for the X-mas dinner.
