Hi guys, I used to post on here but had some technical problems then forgot my log in details. I bought a boat to do underwater treasure diving from here in the uk. I've been hitting it pretty hard abroad this winter and have found 5 gold rings and a lovely 14k 35 gram necklace, as well as loads of silver and stainless steel rings, so thanks to scuba detector and cupajo etc for their advice and interesting posts.
Can anyone advise me on how to hunt a pebble ridge? It is about 3 miles long and is basically a massive wall of pebbles that stops the sea from flooding on to reclaimed land. It is at westward ho! In North devon uk. If you look on line you will se it. The problem is that the coil can't get close to the ground or in amongst the gaps because there are so many stones all together. I recon that the lost items would,be pushed in to the ridge by the tide and waves, and then trapped there like in a sleuce box. It is about 3 meters high, and I recon there must be loads of stuff trapped up in it. It's at the end of a flat sand beach that is about 3 miles long and low to high tide is 2 miles People sit on it and the tide comes right up to the top.
Do you recon it could be a good spot, how can I search it.? I've got an Excalibur which I hunt in the sea with and a pro pointer to help on the beach. I guess my pro pointer on the end of a stick might be good? Any advice gratefully appreciated, thanks water wizard. ( surf pirate)
