Wired Headphones on Deus

RLOH

Well-known member
Does anyone use wired headphones on the Deus and if so, how do they work. The set that can be bought for 20 bucks or so from Deus seem sort of cheap. I can't seem to see how and where you would plug in wired phones on the Deus. I have not bought one yet, but with a limited budget, I am leaning towards the Deus with the control module instead of the wireless phones that come with the Deus light package. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm new to the Deus but will contribute what I can (what I think I know ).
Wired head phones can plug in to either the bottom of the remote or, with an additional attachment, can be used in conjunction with the WS4 head phone control module. The remote accepts a 1/8" jack. Not sure what the attachment for the WS4 accepts...I would guess 1/8" as well. If you get the remote with your Deus you get a couple of advantages ( the way I see it at this juncture). One is, with a head phones jack on the remote, you can throw a pair of earbuds in your kit as a backup in case of failure of the WS4s and keep on hunting. Two, you can only do updates with a remote.
That's my short answer. Hopefully, the more experienced users will chime in and fill in any blanks.

Have used the Deus for a very long time now, I sometimes use high quality wired headphones plugged into the RC, you will get much better tonal quality but for some it's to much. Also if you learned the machine using the wireless HP's then you will have to relearn the sounds, you would have to do this switching to any new HP

I have used the adaptor that snaps onto the headphone module with my favorite earbuds plugged into it since i got my deus. I keep the module in my front pocket and run the headphone cord under my shirt. A word of caution if you do this make sure there is nothing else in that pocket. If there is it pushes buttons when you squat down and may even scuff the module.

Yes be very careful using just the ws4 the jack is just soldered on and will break off like my friends did yesterday and luckily my friend who owns a clock shop just up the road
From the spot we were hunting was able to resolder the jack back on for him!
Saved our day!!

I used the fx02 wired headphones from Deus and they work great . I also have ws5 headphones but they don’t sound as clear .

I have used waterproof earbuds with my controller in a waterproof pouch on the beach.
They worked well, but I had to add a inline volume control.
The controllers don't have volume adjustment, but the headphone puck does.
I've tried the buds in the field, but didn't care for them because they block out to much ambient noise.
My hunting buddy walked up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder and scared the H--- out of me.
Anyway to each their own...
