wireless?

I was wondering if anybody has heard or tried the airheadz wireless headphones for the etrac? they look pretty good also no wires is alot less likely to get tangled.what do you guys think?

I was wondering that myself, I sent them an E-mail Saturday inquiring about the price.

I "think" they were running about $300 US a set. If so WOW!! You know, a cable doesn't bother me THAT much!

ok on minelab owners website they have them alot cheaper then that and will ship to the US.i will get a price and get back to all,the guys that use them say the quality is great and they have no lag what so ever.

They have not returned my e-mail yet and I called several times today with no answer, goes to voice mail.

I got a set from Kel&*_(*& and they didn't work well, kept phasing in and out due to interference from either car radios or planes, but when they work correctly, it was a charm to dig without the wire getting in the way when placing the detector down to either dig or use the probe... Hope this helps, and as I heard the airheadz's were more advanced so let me know how they perform, as I am interested in obtaining a pair that work without the latter...HH.

I have been using the Airheadz about 4 months now and have no complaints . There is absolutely no delay , lightweight and comfy . There are a few downsides that some people might consider though . For one , price . They are pricey , however they are very well constructed . You can buy the head phones with a cord or with the wireless transmitter and receiver , and then the cord is extra . The transmitter and receiver both need to be charged but you only get one charger . At first you have to charge each for 10 hours but after that it takes about 90 minutes each . When detecting they always sound smooth with no breaks , however when I am using my X1 probe the tones occasionally break up due to positioning myself between the transmitter and the headphones (bending over looking in the hole while the transmitter is behind me ) easily fixed by sliding the detector up a little . They say the charge will hold for 10 hours I could not say for sure since I have never hunted for that long and usually charge between uses , but I have used them for close to that . One of the great things is that the receiver module that clips on the headphones is also an adjustable amplifier , it will blow you out if you turn volume up a bit , and will go much loader than with just the cable . It would be better with a limiter circuit but doesn't have one . All in all I am happy with them .
Sorry for the book but if you're going to drop the bucks on these bad boys , you should have all the info you can get. My opinion . I hope this helps you fellas .
