Yes you need to get an adapter....available at Radio Shack. Here is my setup. It worked great!

no delays....and i dont know about the auvio earbuds but with the full size auvio 33-283 headphones I have done an 8 hour hunt and still had charge so there is no problem them lasting a full day of hunting..
if you do a search on auvio 330283 you should find plenty of good reading...
