the ground has once again become wet enough to dig. I hit the park for a few hours yesterday evening and managed to pull out some decent finds. I won't show a picture of the pull tabs, screw caps or the clad I dug. But here are pics of a few of the "keepers". The large item is what I believe to be a compact. Didn't clean up very well. The wheat cent is a 1917 S. The On Guard pin is from WWll and represents the 168th Infantry, 34th Div. The marksman badge is marked sterling. Always nice to see silver. And the 1908 Orleans mint Barber dime was a welcome addition to the hunt. Oh, and the band-aid....... one of the hazards of hunting in trash filled areas! :stretcher: HH Randy

Nice Finds Randy! I've kinda hit a drought of finds right now..Still experimenting with my 3kHz coil! Patience is a virtue in this hobby! Happy Hunting to all! Emmett

We had a dry spell here for a while. And now that the ground is soft enough to dig, we have mosquitos from hell! If you don't experience a hatch soon, consider yourself very lucky. The tiny little vampires have shortened my hunts everytime lately.

About 30 minutes before sunset, the mosquitoes began their onslaught! I swatted for a few minutes, then gave up and came home. Too many cases of West Nile to take the chance. I'll make sure I spray down before I go next time. HH Randy
