Yo Doc...How does the 12x24 dd pro compare to the 18" dd pro? My understanding has been for eliptical coils, you add the two dimensions then divid by 2 and get the equivalent performance for a round coil? What you think? Thanks, Ron

Maybe a little better sensitivity to small gold on the small ends, because they mimic a smaller coil.

Doc, the probe that comes with it... Is it the kind that you have to unscrew the loop you are using and then screw on the probe? Or is it the kind that has a switch box where you can go back and forth between them without disconnecting anything?

Digger

To be honest, I prefer it that way. You use a probe infrequently, but when you need it, nothing else will do the job. SO, being I don't use it everytime I have a target, I would just as soon not have the thing attached to my detector via a cord and switch. It is yet more weight and another cable to have to deal with.

I carry my probe, minus the switch, in my backpack, or shoved in my hip pocket. Most times I leave it on my quad, and if I need it, I go get it and return to the hole I am digging.

Take care!
