wooden deus stem with 11 coil

targets

Member
i had a hiking stick so made a hole for the mounting screw and no deus stem needed to be carried so i cut down on weight ,just the coil and phones needed.
tucks under the arm to swing it

Nice! Talk about traveling light. All you need is a small little day pack to hold your coil, lunch and a digging tool. Put a pair of binoculars around your neck and you hike into your detecting spot looking like just another birdwatcher.

Yes interesting I sold my 11" coil and am waiting for or hoping for a smaller coil then the 9" then I can test it in iron this fall against the racer....

if using all metal mode i can really cover some ground with the wooden stem as its long and stable to really swing hard

Bet you cant! I live close to Gettysburg and park rangers caught a guy who had a homemade coil built into his shoe sole. He put the electronics in his back pack and ran the wire down his pant leg. They caught him digging. Now he's sitting in federal prison. The night watchmen at the park carry thermal imaging with them so don't even try it at night.
