"But Samuel replied: "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king" 1 Sam. 15:22, 23

Read the above passage. What crucial principle can we take away from it concerning what constitutes true worship? What does it warn us against? How can we make sure we are not guilty of exactly what these verses warn about?

Those verses unfold in the context of the continued downfall and apostasy of Saul, Israel

Obedience is better than sacfifice with our Lord God Almighty, Who is our Savior and the Lord of our lives when we accept Him by believing in and serving Him faithfully! Amen! :angel: Ma Betty
