Last Fri I got a flat tire, and today going to work the same exact tire, I got another one. 2 flats in 5 days!!! A brand new spare tire down the drain (I dented it in 3 places bad)!!!!!! I swerve to miss the potholes, but some times you cant swerve due to other traffic... This winter was bad for potholes!!!! In some place it is like driving on the moon!!!!! Why am I paying taxes???

And today gas is $3.75 for unleaded!!!!!!!! What is going on???????

Gas has me upset as well! Everything I do with my work takes fuel! :(
These are signs of end times.

Sorry about those flat tires....what a terrible inconvenience that caused you...better days better be comin'

Sorry about your flats TF......but here's a better story about flat tires! My ex-husband had purchased an old car back in the 60's because he didn't have much money to pay for a newer one, even though they were a lot cheaper then! The tires on the real old cars had innertubes inside of them, which would get a hole and go flat, thus the tire went flat. Well, we were making a trip to the country to visit my or his parents....(can't remember any more) and had 4 flats on the way down about 150 to 200 miles of travelling on Hi-way 21, which was a very crooked road at that time! They've worked on it since then and it isn't so bad now in most places! But you talk about bad luck we had it! Guess we stopped at service stations on the way down, because I don't remember whether he fixed them or whoever did, but that was a loooooooong trip!

God Bless!

Hey, Ma Betty,

Those inner tubes were great to take to the beach and float in the water, weren't they?

I had that going on last year as well around here. Same thing. The roads get really wet then freeze, then when it thaws, it upheaves the blacktop and causes pot holes. Then, our tax dollars only get cold patch work done to fix them. They don't last and are a total waste of money in my opinion. So - being the resourcefull person that I am, I asked the tire repair place to put an inner tube in the last tubeless tire I had go flat. They said - "We don't sell tire inner tubes anymore". Hummmmmmmmm. Wonder why?

I will tell you why. Because if they did, they would not sell as many tires. That's why my friend. It's always about the money.

It's a communist conspiracy. What goes into making tires? What goes in the asphault used to fill the holes in the road? What goes in the cars that makes the tires run over the pot holes that are fixed with asphalt? OIL and GAS!!!! (Ok I am just kidding a bit).

It's this way of thinking that is ruining this country. Everyone always brags and adverstises the "quality" of the product they sell, but that does not mean they are selling "the best". If the can buiild it cheap, can sell it high, and call it a quality product - that's good enough. IF the US would go back to trying to make the highest quality and the BEST product we could like in the old days, we could easily put the cheap junk makers out of bussiness and retake the competitive edge over that cheap foreign junk that is being sold over here. Our steel and metal products use to be the very best in the world and still could be. I remember my dad telling me never to buy anything made with cheap "pot" metal that comes from Japan, Taiwan, or china. Now - it's all we get. If it's not made over there, it's made with metal that comes from over there in some other bordering country and shipped in here - or it's made of plastic. All good quality JUNK.

WOW - I didn't mean to do that. Sorry. Man I guess I am getting old!

Probably told this one on here before but...

I remember one time when I was a kid, we were on our way to Pennsylvania to visit my Grandma when we got a flat. My father pulled the car over and of course, I got out to take a look. Well, we must have run over a dead skunk at some point 'cause that tire stunk to high heaven. My father, in all his wisdom, thought it would be a good time for me to learn how to change a tire :)

They sure were and still are, except I am too old to do much of that any more! Floating the Current River is a big event here in MO. I still have a nice two-oar blow-up boat and truck innertubes that can be blown up and used! I also have an air pump to blow them up with! Oh, the good old days! Travelling on innertube tires caused a lot of blowouts and accidents though! So the tubeless tires are much better.............but no innertubes to use for floating in the summertime!

God Bless! :angel
