Ok all you WOT owners out there, I would like to hear what you have to say about WOT coil performance on the Explorer, good bad or indifferent.

I really like it. Easy to pinpoint, runs deep and I seem to pick up a lot more stuff with the wot. For a real cluttered area I go with a smaller coil.
I was using the 8" stock, but ordered a 5.5 SunRay.

the machine came with the 10.5 coil. i was also using an 8" coil that i borrowed from a friend. i wanted a larger coil and went with an 15 excellerator coil. although the excellerator was a decent coil, i had a hard time pinpointing with it and it didn't seem to "reach out" for the deeper coins. i had an excalibur with the WOT which i used for wading the beach and had really positive results with it so i got rid of the excellerator and bought a WOT for the Exp II. it pinpoints better, seems better balanced and i have noticed better results with it. if you hunt really trashed up sites a majority of the time, the WOT may not be for you. it is a large coil and takes some getting used to. i use the joey and a sunray 5" for the occasion trashy and confined areas. i don't know what type of hunting you do. if you do constuction sites or beach hunting where time is important, the WOT maybe what you need. if you hunt trashy areas more often then the WOT may not be the best choice for you.
