Got the chance to visit the islands and was wondering if anyone has been there. I've heard about the black sand and have two choices in detectors Excalibur and CZ 20. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

Have flown in the lower 48 with it in the hole. Will check and see if it's alright to take it that way. Was hoping to find out how they work on there beaches also.

Two years in a row with 2 detectors in checked and carry on no problems. Going back in Jan.

BUT, I took a Leche digger with me. the TSA agent pulled it PART WAY out of the sheath and said ohh a shovel and let me take it on!! LOL At least he didn't pull it all the way out!!! On the way back it was in my checked luggage! I was NOT thinking when I packed it.
