Would you dare go where no man has gone before

I lay awake at night remembering back in the 50, 60 and early 70's parked in the In-Field on one of the most famous race tracks, partying and the thousands of people losing Silver and Jewelry all during the month of May for the past 90 years . I know there has to be a truck load just waiting because I also know that probably nobody has ever hunted it. It would almost be worth the risk for a night hunt. The only problem is I'm too old to get over the fence now and I don'Thave enough time left to do the time. Just a Dream I have.

Maybe we could get Minelab to sponsor a car and the forum members would be on the pit crew. I can just hear it now Jeff....

Announcer 1 - "The E-Trac car has come in for a pitstop and...and wait a minute. Where's the pit crew?"

Announcer 2 - "They appear to be out in the infield swingin' their E-Tracs..."

Are you listening Minelab???

Great pipe dream!

NebTrac

I think we are going to have to tunnel under the fence and when we get underneath the in-field we can run our e-tracs on the roof of the tunnel. Just a thought.

I like the idea of a sponsor, if not a car then how about gaining permission and sponsor a Group Hunt and all proceeds goes to a local charity and we can promote the Hobby

That just might work, I've been doing alot of crawling lately because its easier than walking now days.

....and they come to central Nebraska and pick ol' NebTrac up in a racecar. Yeah! I like it!

Would be the first time I've ever dug a target above me Randy. :goodnight:

We could save money by making the car from recycled pulltabs

I like the way you dream Jeff. :detecting:

Yes, The Indy 500 has a lot of history and the In-field was the place to be. 90 years of drops just waiting. I know alot of places I plan on hunting over there in the spring. I'm sure it'll be worth the 187mile drive each way. I've put it on my to-do list before its to late.
