[attachment 58910 coins3.jpg]there was NO clad in the way because I had already removed it the hunt before. I'm definately going back but I wanted to sneak in a couple of hours before work this morning because I am going to be busy for at least a week or so. I hunted in conductive sounds with auto sens and higher gain and had good results for such a short time. The big St. Christopher medal is sterling as is the earring and smaller charm. The cross obviously isn't but was still neat to find. There is a ton of goodies just waiting there...but still a lot of clad in the way at most spots. Next time I will pick a small section and remove the 6" clad and other junk and hopefully there will be good stuff underneath it all like this time.
Time to head to work!

There is going to be many more great finds made at that site for sure if you are starting to pull goodies like that after the removal of Clad Coins. I wish you the best of Luck and HH to you on your next trip.:super:

football field that is still in use. It's been there since the late 30's or so. It seems like any time I hunt an old football field there's a lot of broken jewelry probably worn by the players...then broken and lost in the heat of the battle. I was hoping to find the chain that the big St. Christophers medal was on...but no such luck. That chain may have falklen off at the 50 yard line...but the charm didn't fall through until the end zone area where I hunted. I think I'm just beginning to scratch the surface at this site. I'm in no hurry as I am really hurting for places to hunt so I will definately take my time here. Shoot I worked for 5 hours just in a small section on Saturday...then went back this morning for a couple of hours over the same section and concentrated on the deeper signals once the clad was taken out. There are probably 10 more sections like that there that I can work over with the same process. I'm busy over the next week or so though...but I will definately get back there when my schedule frees up some.

there. That's for sure. I am not going to be able to hunt for a few days because of work. I am looking forward to many trips there though because I've only worked a small section of just one sideline and part of one endzone at this field. Hopefully there's a few more charms and goodies waiting.
