..Marcia and I went for a walk last night before dark, and I discovered a TON,of potential detecting spots, hinging on permission,of course...Just up the road from Marcia,an abandonded old home, sitting empty...at another spot,an OLD cement road, going up the bluff toward Lake Michigan, clearly un-used for MANY years, probly an old home site up there...Down from that, less than 1/2 a mile from Marcia's house,a place called Pigeon Hill Resort, that was foreclosed on by the bank, and is going up for auction...This resort is clearly WAY old, probly from before WW2...Volley ball courts, tetherball pole, fire pits...The cottages and main house need roofs BADLY,a ton of money will have to be invested in it,to make it operational...Their shuffleboard courts are WAY old poured cement ......... horseshoe pits, all cement block cottages, with clapboard siding.I checked the place out,and could just FEEL the detecting potential in this resort, and Marcia told me,she thinks it goes back to maybe WW1....I went on line and tried to find out about the bank thats selling it;no luck, its on the auction block, the 21st of December...I will keep my eyes open, maybe the new owners will look kindly upon me asking for permission to detect, before they do whatever it is they will do with it.........
