I smell a new model or at least revamped purchasing configurations on the horizon.

Yeah they are due a new xterra. I still use my 70 and like it though. I can't afford new so maybe if a new one comes out I may be able to afford a used 705.

Yeah it's got to make you wonder as too what's up with the price cut. I'm sure this post will go crazy with all of the wild ideas as to what's coming out next, lol

Isn't the price cut artificial though since it's still higher than buying from a dealer anyway? If anyone is interested in great deal on a used one with over 2 years warranty pm me.

I wouldn't try to read too much into it. It's just a temporary sale. Don't forget that down under it's heading into spring, so for them it's a spring sale.
Besides, Minelab isn't the only one that runs periodic sales like this with no impending new model. Just look at Whites.

Now that said, it may be worth contacting a dealer to see if Minelab is cutting them any sort of deal. I suspect that they are, because I don't think that they would expect their dealers to soak up the loss.
