Today was a great day for me, I used my friends Explorer and broke my oldest coin record twice today First coin I got was an 1803 large cent then 3 buttons then a colonial copper and then a 178? reale, My oldest coins before that were 2 1832 half dimes from the same site. What a way to end the year. Now all I need is that elusive gold coin for 2008. HH Johnny nj
 
King George II coppers were not made during King George III reign With that said, there are counterfeits with dates other than the regal years, if yours is in fact a 1774 and not 1734, than I strongly suggest posting a photo for proper ID.
