Wrap or Not To Wrap??

Picking up an Excal and was wondering what is the best way to secure the coil cable. Is it best to wrap the coil cable around the shaft? Or, leave the coil cable straight on the shaft and have a loop secured to your belt?

wrap the coil cable around the shaft, but not to close to the coil.

I hip mount my controls.... I semi loosely wrap the coil wire around the upper and lower shafts and secure with Velcro straps I bought at wally world or small zip ties work real good too if you snug them up just tight enough to hold in place but loose enough to adjust side to side or up and down...that's the other thing ,you cant wrap it too tight or you wont be able to adjust the lower shaft up and down.... if hip mounting leave plenty of slack in the cable between top of the shaft and the controls so as to not put any stress on the cable while swinging....
