I have read that the WS4 puck is weatherproof. I assume that means rain. Am I right?

How much rain?
When it stops you will know when it's too much.
Tape one of those small baggies over it and you should be ok as long as the clip on the backphones doesn't get wet

Yes it is weatherproof - ie. can be used in the rain, have personally done so on multiple occasions with no issues. There is a you tube clip floating about showing the WS4 submerged in a tank of water, not that I would recommend doing as such.

I saw a guy with a condom on his phone and had the end tied in a knot in a lake once, worked very well. I guess you could try that, touch screen still worked too.
