WS4 vs. WS5 headphones Vance MDing?

Before talking with Vance today, I was already sold on buying the WS5 headphones since I was told you could hear the sounds better by keeping the noise out better. Well Vance is trying to convince me that the WS4 with his adapter (I'm not sure what he meant for sure, I think something aftermarket) his headset sounded better than the WS5 headphones. Has anyone on here bought that setup from Vance MDing or know what he is talking about? Are they better than the factory setup? Thanks

I have owned both the WS4 and the WS5's. The WS4's worked and sounded perfectly; however, I could never get them to fit comfortably so I sold them. I was lucky enough to purchase a set of WS5's at very discounted price. I am glad I only paid half price for the WS5's because I have been very disappointed in the build quality. The electronics of the WS5's are top notch; however, the adjustable headband is way too loose and the headphones fall off of my head on a regular basis. No matter what I do to adjust them I cannot get a snug fit. I am now considering purchasing another set of WS4's and the factory headphone adapter and doing a modification to a set of headphones I have that fit my head perfectly. With all the aftermarket solutions floating around it appears I am not the only one having issues.

The biggest advandage of the WS4 is that the control "pod" comes off the headphone band and earcups.

The controller can then be used with after market headphones that already have the $22 headphone adapter mounted to them or one can buy the adapter from a dealer and then use any headphone of their choice.

I bought the adapter and use them with earbuds which I prefer except when it is very cold or noisey.

I've been using the WS5 headphones for almost four months without too many problems. I do, however, have a melon-head so that's probably why they fit a little better for me LOL

I bought the WS4 so I could save $100 and use them with a pair of Chefphones. They seal great, sound good and block out tons of outside noise. The removable headphone control on the WS4s allow you to use any headphone you like. You also have to get the $22 Deus adapter and a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter if you want to plug in a set of other manufacturers headphones.

If one uses this adapter and other headphones, doesn't that mean the will be wired headphones and not wireless? Does anyone have some pictures so I can see their setup? Thanks.

I bought Chefphones CP6, saved tons of cash and LOVE them!

Full headphones are gonna let you hear better.....

I went with the WS5's. My first Deus had the cheaper ones and I could never get them to fit right or feel right. Loved the WS5's.

You would remove the WS4 from the backphone which is the size of a half dollar, then connect the adapter to the WS4 and plug your favorite headphones into the adapter. The WS4 now fits into your front pocket, still wireless.

Oh course I've always preferred the full cup headphones. I'm old school and believe hearing the best quality sound you can makes the difference between digging a lot of junk and not.

Here you go. These are the Chefphones. They install really good speakers into a set of noise canceling headphones and run a cable from inside these to the controller adapter. The WS4 controller slides onto this adapter. No cord to the detector and these block out more external noise than any other headphones I've ever used

They come equipt with the WS4 adapter. All you have to do is slide them off the WS4 headband and onto the Chefphones.
