General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

I know I may strike out looking for this but why not. I though it might help in the trashiest areas using the 5" coil. Still learning the GT and I know it's not a necessary accessory for beach hunting.
I check my email often so a reply there as well as a PM would be helpful.

Someone on this forum recently offered to sell me the exact same meter but I declined as I already have a meter for my Sovereign. I am sure he will contact you soon :)

The DTI 3 has a backlight that makes it attractive to me. The Minelab meters allow for hipmounting and that's a huge plus for my endurance. Got some really nice offers but want to see if I can locate one of the 2 types mentioned above.

You asked would my meter would work hip mounted.I made a couple of changes to see if it was possible.With the rear switch removed,and the rear mount taken off now only two small screw will hold on mount with out nuts,so this is very easy to take on and off to convert from rod mounted to fit in a stock GT or Elite bag.There is still room enough to add padding(small plastic bag) for protection against scratching the Sovereign box.Very easy to read meter ID numbers in bag.Thanks for the question will my meter hip mount?
 
leaving the meter on the rod and using longer cables to the control box. You present a whole other way of considering options. That's functional with a piece of foam between meter & control box, with the added benefit of the meter being out of the weather. Funny, thought I'd do a little better finding a minelab meter reasonably priced. I even have the rain cover for the stocker. Saw a couple slip through my fingers on eBay, one went for $114.
I'll check out your pics on the PC when I get home, using my iPhone now.

Bruce there are a lot of ML meters that have been exposed to the weather and have corrosion problems,some of these not such a good deal.I sold an old 550 on Ebay for 130.00 dollars a month ago.Anyway just enough room on my meter to fit in a plastic bag or a small piece of cloth and the flap can still can close and make good seal to keep the weather out.Mount for rod included very easy to fit on the rod asm and best line of sight.Good Luck Ron
