I am looking for a headset. Either a nice one, or a cheap one depending on what is available here... I am looking for a bargain either way of course. Maybe you have something gathering dust. I am getting a used XLT and my CZ20's headset is part of the machine, so I just need something to get me going until I get a nice set, or if I can find a nice one, I would just buy that and be done with it. I don't care one bit about cosmetics, but I don't want to sacrifice comfort.
After a car accident I gave up detecting, but I think with a little luck and a machine that can help me dig a higher percentage of keepers, I may be able to take it up again.
I will be lurking around the XLT forum to learn, and posting in the Fisher forum to try and help others.

PS. I'm looking for more info on custom programs for the XLT. No beach stuff, mostly parks, yards , but I do like to go in the woods. I really am excited about the new machine. I read the manual a couple times and what I can find on the net. The fisher basically had four sounds for discrimination and I can tell loads about things just by listening. I intend to dig all targets for a while (back permitting) to get a feel for the machine, then start discriminating, but anyone willing to share info would be appreciated. I hope to learn the XLT as well as I know the fisher. If you don't live near me (Lower CT) I can't beat you to a cache, so what have you got to lose?
