General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

wtb starter detector for son

looking for a starter for my son. He is ten, big for age 5'1---140 and has used your basic garrett treasure ace plus and my xterra 50. I could always help if a little technical. looking in the $200 range
 
Theres a Delta 4000 on one of the forums for $215 shipped and that a great detector. Or look for an Teknetic's Alpha, Fisher F2 or a Garrett Ace 250 there about in the same $$ range and all are fine starters. There's not many newer machines in that price range.

Garrett Ace 250. I personally believe the readout is hard to see, but that is becasue I use Minelabs. I owned an Ace 250 and it worked well. Lots of features. Some forum sponsors sell them.

Fisher F series. I am not sure which one is in that price, but it might be the F-5? Anyhow, a decent product.

Teknetics Delta (or even the Alpha). To meet your $200 requirement, you could get a new Alpha, but the Delta would need to be used to get that price.

You may note I suggest units with TIDs (the read outs). I personally like having and it is helpful when the learning curve is steep on a machine.

And, remember to buy your detector from a forum sponsor. Helps them help us (by paying for this free site).

White's has a new Coinmaster machine the retails for under 200.00.
Also a used Prizm II or III would be a good choice also.

I have a tesoro conquistador micro max for $250.it is in excellent cond. I bought for a backup and have hardly used it.you pay to ship.Im in va.
