I would like to buy a Sunray probe for the Mine Lab Explorer se, if you have one please send me a PM I see one at times on Ebay but I feel its not right taking advantage of a situation and charging way more then what you paid for it. I am trying to help out a good friend and I would like to surprise him with one as a gift, So please PM me if you have one and not putting it to use, Thanks ahead of time...Pete

I understand they stopped making them, but I would not rip off a good fellow metal detector. I can see getting all your money back but I seen one selling for 300 bucks last week????????Greed is Bad

What would you consider a fair price ?

What the person paid for it when it is was new. I own one for my DFX and XLT and paid I think 199 a piece for them. To tell you the truth I am thinking about buying one for my Vietnam buddy who has Cancer. he owns a Explorer Se. I never had a Explorer or any Minelab in my hands before last Tuesday. I was surprised, because from what I read was that they were heavy and I did not notice that about the machine. I did find out that the Pin Pointing is not as accurate as a Whites. long story short, I am just trying to help out another detectorist

They run way more than the ones for whites machines....They have a minelab shaft with them.....and they do run 275.00 to 300.00....sometimes more..A new will really set you back....Take it easy!

I paid $258.00 shipped for mine...Looked brand new! If I ever sell it it will be the same price plus shipping...
don't ask! it's staying on the trac..Mascard is right..they are more expensive than the whites and if you want
someone to part with one,...well get your money out!!.

OK, I understand, I was not aware they sold for a higher price, Apologizes to all. I would have to re-think my strategy as this would be an expensive gift. I appreciate all thew feedback. I did not intend to offend any one. I will keep looking and maybe one will turn up, Have a great hunt over the weekend guys.

Pete-----This is a very nice thing that you are/were trying to do for your friend.----It's just too bad that the X-1's have gotten so high priced since Ralph stopped making them for the Explorers/Etracs, they are SUCH a good product.---------Del

Where is that coming from??????????????? I did not mention anything about bad mouthing?????????????? and I can take most replies with a grain of salt. I don't know where you read that???

Is this what I am looking for?? looks like this one was used pretty hard, I asked whats with the string coming out and he told me its to assist in removing the rod. its taking off in price

If I have to spend 300 bucks for one I would like to see it in better shape

That"s it...and the cord is to pull the plug out of shaft.....so you can hook to machine....I would think that one would go for around 275.00...???

That puppy appears to have seen a lot of action . A very early Serial number and a second generation longer black probe shaft ( I'm sure it came with the 1st generation white shaft) . The red tip looks like it has been on the receiving end of some hard pushing . I'd be betting it's
either near or already starting to short out and will soon be needing a trip back to Sunray .

What George (dirt doctor) said!-----Be careful of that one---it looks like its been "rode hard & put up wet".
