I'm looking for a Whites 6000/DI PRO XL. In like new & working condition. Would prefer one with 2 coils and case if possible. Thanks, Rita

I have both on my wall that I am not using, a 5900 and 6000 pro xl

I used to seach with the 5900 with a 15" coil but due to bad back can no longer do it.

I bought the pro xl to lighten up the load but have not been able to get out with that to relic hunt and would consider selling one of them.

Please email me at jtalley007@verizon.net and include you phone number and time zone.

I get my regular email on my phone and can call you.

Hi Rita,

FYI, tried to send you a PM but was not able to do so, you must be new to the forum.

Your message is a bit unclear, are you looking for a White's 6000 Di Pro SL or a Whites 6000 Pro SL as there is a difference. The latter is basically the same machine as the XL Pro, the 6000 Pro SL was renamed XL Pro and the decal was changed, same machine.

The 6000 Di Pro SL was a predecessor machine to the 6000 Pro SL / XL Pro along with the 5900 Di Pro SL (confusing isn't it!). The 5900/6000 Di Pro SL have a slightly larger control box and uses four D cell batteries instead of eight AA batteries. As far as I know, the only difference between the 5900 Di Pro Sl and 6000 Di Pro SL is that the 5900 offers a ten turn manual ground balance pot with both course and fine adjust whereas the 6000 has auto ground balance.

If you decide you are interested, my 5900 machine is in excellent cosmetic and working condition, was recently checked out and tuned by Centerville Electronics during which time a brand new 9.5" coil and cover was added. I only have the one coil to sell with my 5900 and no case. I can be reached at hkparker@embarqmail.com if you are interested and need more info on this machine.

FYI, there is a document called "Understanding the White's Pro Series" on the White's web site under the "Manuals" section that compares all of the great White's analog machines.

FYI, this is one of the great analog White's units that can be updated with a tone modification thereby adding multi-tones to the best functioning analog display ever put on a detector.

Best regards,

Keith
