WW1 navy cap button

I finally made it back out yesterday after work. Went to a friends house and pulled the button out of the front yard. Its a waterbury company 1812 button. 13 stars eagle holding a anchor. Under the anchor is 3 cannonballs. On the back it is a threaded post with markings. WC 1812. The company is out of CT. They started up in the year 1812. I believe this is a Navy cap button from WW1. All brass button with 24kt gold plate. Also dug 2 wheats and modern coins.2 Dimes,4 nickels and 7 copper pennys. Thanks for looking. HH.... Tim
