WWII ammo spill

balkanizator

New member
found theese near some 13th century castle ruins. it was all in one hole. i assume the italian fascist army had some kind of base on the hill and when the partisans invaded them they left everything and ran like hell :D
there were some other metal bits around that were probably part of the wooden ammo box. there's a lot more signals in the same spot but it was getting quite dark and i had no lamp. i'll return some other time to collect the rest of the bullets
the cartridges say A A on the top, and C-39 on the bottom. it is ammo for the italian Carcano bolt rifle

Interesting!!!

these are 7.35. As i said there's a bunch of signals in the same hole and a lot more in the area around it, so the remains of a rifle would be cool to find :)
during WWII there was a lot of guerilla warfare on the mountain where it was found so this is nothing strange
