How good is it on jewlery?

I have litteraly tried everything when it comes to parks and tot lots. whites. fisher, tesoro. and I have been offered a xtera 305 for another unit.

My main hobby is of corse beach hunting. However. i cant always get to the beach every weekend. So while I cant I might as well hit the local parks and lots.

Just wondering as stated how well the 305 does when it comes to jewlery . RINGS.

From all the posts i read for the last 2 months and finally deciding to dig most signals in the area I cherry picked a few days ago at my apartment, I found my 1st gold ring and my 2nd silver ring today. So its more on how willingly you are to dig most signals. Digging most signals today made a believer out of me.

Finding rings in a school tot lot is not alway successful. Tot lots are usually for milk change.
I have found small silver rings and necklaces and they came under dimes.
When hitting the sports fields and they were larger they came under quarters.
It all varies how they lay in the ground. The ones in a a tot lot lay flat with the wookchips, but in the sport fields they my be on an angle.
The 305 is a decent machine for the money Had mine for two years now along with an Ace 250 and they both produce.
I'm not a fan of pennies and walk over many. This year I met another person detecting, and he retraced me and the penny I walked over he stopped and picked up an indian head.
My loss I learned. Sometimes it pays to dig.

The stock coil is a 7.5 kHz freq, and the high freq coil is a 18.75 kHz which is better on small jewelry, gold, and nickels.

The X-TERRAs will find coins, jewelry, gold....... anything metal! For park hunting jewelry, I'd recommend equipping it with the 6-inch DD at 18.75 kHz. DD for separation and HF for sensitivity to low conductive targets. JMHO HH Randy
