Went to a park where an old house site stood many years ago and found a few goodies.. the coins all dated after the house was torn down, but I'm certain the skeleton key is connected to the house site.
This the second key I have dug at this location, but they are slightly different.
Pennies were dated 1934,1944, and 1956.
Dimes are dated 1941 and 1945.
Also got a musicians button...this one has a steel back on it.
Thanks for looking,
Felix

Really good day!!! Have you hunted this site much or has it been pounded by others over the years?

Excellent Felix!

I'm hoping for a break in the weather, so I can hit a couple new permissions.
Sitting in the dark without power right now.

My buddy and I have been searching this area since last June.
The area is a gold course that has been closed due to some road construction nearby and some of the course has been fenced off.
There are some golfers still using the area, and we are watching out for one another.
We were told others had detected the site before us.
We just happened by one day to stop for a quick snack while planning our next site to search when we noticed a sign stating the golf course was closed for golf, but open for public use.
Some of the items we found that first trip made me think that perhaps there was a house somewhere on the property years ago.
Through some research, I found some information on the area and even found some photos of the house taken back in 1919.
The house was built in 1878 and caught on fire in 1923.
It was abandoned after that and the property was purchased and made into a golf course in the late 1930's.
These coins most likely were lost by golfers over the years.
The oldest coin found here so far was an 1852 Large cent I found a few months ago.
Not aware of any other activity or houses on the site before 1878.
