X-Terra Elite On The Way

Down to 1 X-Terra 70, have the XTP that has been a great relic getter. Liking the lighter weight detectors at 69 have had fewer outings the past few years. The Nox I had was definitely not for me as I like fewer settings and I'm not a machine tweaker. Hope the multi frequency is a little calmer on the Elite. At least it has 15 kHz single to fall back on. Does anyone really see a difference between field 1 and 2 on the XTP or Elite? CW Relics is all I hunt for.

Have had a few days playing with the Elite, some thoughts on both the Pro and the Elite. Both are great machines in their own ways. They remind me of the evolution of the 1st generation X-Terras. The Pro being the X-Terra 70 and the Elite like the 705. The exception on the Elite being like the Safari being the simple way to get multi frequency much like the Safari getting a simple FBS. Funny, as the Elite is the same color as the Safari! Have beat the grass down on my test bed with them the last few days as it is too hot to go to the wild for me right now, look forward to the fall to really give them a work out. The Pro is as the X-Terra 70 was to me back in the day with good finds so far and have noticed the Elite is alot less jittery than the Nox 800 that I had. It is a good choice for folks to try multi frequency out to see if they like it.

Hey morelick, how are you liking the Xterra Elite? Sadly, I haven't had a chance to get out with mine since I bought it. Between our weather, and a few health issues, I haven't had a chance to really go through it and attempt to learn it. I assembled it, and charged it and made sure that it was working and that's just about it. I did get out back one morning with it, and it began to rain about 5 minutes later. I wish you the best of luck with yours. Hopefully I can get out with mine before too long. I hope you dig and save some nice CW History. Just be careful in this heat if your out in it.

Right now, I think the only difference between the 2 is the multi frequency on the Elite. I'm in the middle of cataract surgery right now and can't get to the field for more tests. Soon as I take it out in the wild, I'll have a better look at it. Most lively have the Coiltek 5x10 on one and the VX12 on the other one.

Feeling better ?
How was your go with the machine ?

Everything went well, I did a couple of hunts with my old X-Terra 70 and the Pro is going to be a backup to the Pro now. I covered a field that I hunted with the Pro and found out that I had missed deep targets. I am in the process of getting extra X-Terra 70/ 705's and coils to have extras just incase one goes bad!

I am beginning to feel some better, but now our pollen is taking its toll on my asthma, but I'm learning to deal with it and just have to wear a mask outdoors while working. Sadly, I still haven't had a chance to seriously use the Xterra on a hunt yet. My hunting buddy is self employed as a mechanic and has been working on almost every weekend. On top of this he has hurt his shoulder, so we have not had a chance to go relic hunting as of yet. Soon, it will be too late. Heavy ground foliage, No Shoulders, and ticks will be about. A tick liked to have taken me out last June. But hey, my wife, daughter, son in-law and grand pup are heading to Tybee Island Ga. in a few weeks and we are taking the detectors along. We are looking forward to it. I hope all is going well with you.

Thankfully you're Improving. 😊

Same old same old.
Getting by.

Hopefully y'all have a good trip.

At my worst allergies.
My asthma is caused by allergies.
Eyes used to swell shut.
I found 50mg Benadryl allergy relief+ works rather well.

Semprex D was the best but banned in the US.
Can buy it in every other country.
But not here.
If you go to Mexico.
Buy a couple hundred.
Take when things get bad.
Very Effective.

Good Luck
Hope to see some nice finds.
