X35 coil charging issue

Received 9” X35 coil today and plugged in to charge, but LED
Is feeble so don’t know if charging. How to know if defective?
Will I only know when I enter the serial number in the ORX remote
and check the coil battery status indicator?

In case anyone else with a new X35 coil has this occurring.

After 2 1/2 hours the dim led started blinking dimly
3 seconds on and 3 seconds off which would indicate full charge.
So I added the serial number to the ORX remote and the coil. Is
running fine. The battery capacity shows full, so I have to conclude
Everything is good-just it he LED which is of little consequence
except that for $425 you kind of expect everything to work.

and now the coils are cheaper
