x35 coil question

Does the x35 coil automatically default to the "boost" on 4kfz? And what does "Go Terrain" on the main menu do? Thanks

no and i din't know...lol you have to put it into boost mode if you want it. I did see that Go Terrain now that you mention it but while out detecting i didn't mess with it and promptly forgot about it. I hope we find out.

Boost mode will appear in the tx power when you are in 4khz, you must select it to use it. Go Terrain as far as i know never became available or at least i can not find it. I believe v4 had an option for "go Detect" (i think). It is a cellphone app made for the deus that offers tracking, logging of finds and such.

It's an addition to 5.2. Just curious as to its purpose. Found the "boost". On the expert screen on frequency mode. thanks

I always wondered what happened to "Go Detect" .
I thought it would be interesting to see where I wondered while detecting...

So do any of you think that the "Go Terrain" is the same? updated and still in the process of development?

Unfortunately the Go Detect application was a partnership with XP that went south . . . . and that was the reason the Go Terrain application is being developed - that way XP is not at the mercy of a 3rd party supplier.

Word is that the Go Terrain application will be released in early 2019 . . . being tested internally with XP at this time.

Hope this helps

Andy
