Well I got my XL-PRO back from having the Tone I.D. Mod. done a couple weeks ago and after putting some time in on it all I can say is WOW! This detector is awesome for those of us who likeTone I.D. and don't like to stare at the meter. I even like the 4th tone being Quarters and up as it makes cherry picking them easier. And the next lower tone for dimes is easy to separate from other 3 tones. The thing that really amazes me is the fact it will hold the tone rite to the edge of depth and not drop a tone like some other detectors. With the signal balance at 3:00, DISC. at NAIL in GEB-DISC. I can hit a dime at 10'' with proper tone and lock on I.D..That is pretty awesome in my book! I have took it out and used about a set of batterys and it is just plain fun to use. I haven't found anything old yet,But the sites I'm taking it to are newer closer to home sites. I did manage about 60 Quarters though as they are fun to cherry pick with the 4th tone. Anyways if any of you out there are lucky enough to locate a kit or buy one already modded go for it as you won't be disappointed. And I want to thank Megadiver for installing the Tone Mod. as He did a great job it looks just like it came with it. Maybe it's just me,But it seems my return speed is also a little faster since the Mod. was installed. This makes a great detector even better!
