Is the relic program considered an "all metal " program on my xlt?

Strictly speaking, the relic mode is not an all metal mode because it rejects from -95 to -30 and accepts from -29 to +95. This is fine in most cases. You can always change the relic program to accept everything from -95 to +95 or simply set one up in one of the 4 available custom programs. Gerry

Mclucky,
If your factory Relic has Mixed Mode "on", which some of the earlier Spectrum factory presets didn't, than yes you are in all metal....call it 2 tone all metal if you will. Everything accepted pings a high tone and rejected gives a low grunt...you here everything.

Strictly speaking....Mixed Mode is an All-Metal mode and a Discriminate mode workin as one....Hybrid....you here everything no matter how you set your discrimination pattern.

Thanks Gerry,I was just curious....I saw some other posts that made me wonder if I should be using the relic mode more often,I'm gonna try it!

Hey thanks Dave I'm gonna try that at some places I've hit hard with the coin and coin jewelry programs already.I have been using those presets almost all the time....maybe I've cleared some of the junk out of the way. Happy Hunting!

all of the features on your XLT because you really are losing a lot of depth by running the factory preset programs. try finding one in a book or on the internet because i have found that i have gotten much more depth on coins and relics by tinkering with just a few of the settings and i have found more because of it. hope this helps.
